Every year, the Outstanding Technical Paper Award by Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan (JSAE) is awarded to individuals who author and/or co-author papers of particular excellence on the subject of automotive technology.

In 2018, the following technical paper by Yuichi Saito, an research assistant professor of Pongsathorn laboratory, has been awarded.
